Why 12 Volt HXP Peak?
08.28.09
Hitachi’s Micro Series HXP Li-ion Tools provide an initial no-load peak voltage of 12 – 12.4V. In combination with Hitachi’s award winning design, the new HXP Li-ion 12V Peak tools provide superior results in a smaller package. Choose from a growing selection of micro sized tools.

Compact Size
Optimized handle dimensions create an ergonomic grip span for comfortable control in all size hands. Well-balanced tool weight and a properly positioned center of gravity keep the user’s hand and forearm in alignment to reduce fatigue over time. Less wrist deviation and flexor strain result in less user fatigue and more accurate operation.

Internal Circuitry
HXP batteries are equipped with a current interruption detection system, thermal protector and an electronic switch to protect battery against overcharge and discharge

Fade Free Power
Hitachi’s HXP Li-ion batteries produces consistent power with no RPM slowdown unlike traditional Ni-Mh/Ni-Cd and other competitive Li-ion batteries.

Light Weight
HXP Li-ion Battery offers up to 40% less weight than standard Ni-Cd/Ni-Mh batteries.

Explanation of 12V Peak:
Initial no-load voltage, when fully charged, peaks between 12–12.4 Volts. During the battery cycle under a typical load, voltage averages at 10.8 Volts.
