Customer Service Representative - Data Entry Braselton, GA

This position will be responsible for processing incoming orders for the Customer Service Department.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Process all orders per standard operating procedure (SOP), following special instructions as needed. Edit orders for price, promotions, terms, freight, warehouse, etc. 
  • Monitor and print Email, Fax, Web & EDI orders from the appropriate folders, sort and distribute as required (Reference list of “Special Handled Accounts”) – generally every 30-60 minutes each day.
  • Inform customer of any discrepancies, back-orders, processing order deviation or authorization to ship at corrected price forms as applicable and required.
  • Fax or email all sales order acknowledgements to sales representative and customer.
  • Communicate with warehouse as needed regarding special shipment of orders.
  • Research and respond to order/shipment inquiries, submitting RGAs or other credits or debits as applicable

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (G.E.D.) supplemented by data entry experience with good attention to details.
  • At least six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience


LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.  Must have excellent verbal communication skills.


MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. 


COMPUTER SKILLS:
Ability to operate PC. General knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet (Excel) software. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus.


OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong typing and data entry skills. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to meet deadlines. Excellent attention to details. Proficient in using a variety of office equipment including copier and fax machines.
