Dealer Specialist - Remote - Southern California

SUMMARY:  The Dealer Specialist will support Key Account Manager in servicing customer accounts within the assigned territory and implement sales and organization strategies by performing the following duties personally or through End User Specialist.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. 

  • Generates sales through visits to customer job sites, dealers, and contractors.

  • Hosts customer events and provides product demonstrations, product training, and customer appreciation activities.

  • Coordinates sales distribution and advises dealers, distributors, and clients concerning sales advertising techniques.

  • Assists Dealers in promoting sales and merchandising products based on Marketing strategies, plans and programs.

  • Develops and executes territory sales campaigns to grow brand recognition and achieve company goals.

  • Dispenses product information through personal knowledge and product guides to raise customer awareness of the benefits of Hitachi products.

  • Coordinates with Sales and Marketing Department as well as other internal Hitachi departments on projects to reach company goals in Sales and Customer Satisfaction.

  • Uses cost-efficient methods of fulfilling requirements of sales territory to control expenditures and adhere to budgetary requirements.

  • Prepares periodic sales reports showing sales volume and potential sales.

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree (BA) and minimum of one year related industry experience or three years related industry experience and training or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries and complaints from customer, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format. 

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundaments of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
Above average interpersonal skills are mandatory.  Ability to effectively communicate with all person of various social, economic and educational levels.  Time and resource management skills to prioritize and utilize personnel and financial resources for optimum benefit.

COMPUTER SKILLS
Ability to operate PC. General knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
