SUMMARY:  Provide technical assistance and effective communication to support related to computer system, software, and hardware.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Provide hardware support by troubleshoot, repair, maintain, modify, install, resolve issues related to phone, laptop, desktop, printers, peripherals, etc., including coordinate with vendors, filing insurance claims for damaged items, installation, etc.

• Provide support for necessary for business operation and communication, such as email, vpn, network connections, routers, phone system, WAN/LAN issues, user accounts, etc.

• Provide training to staff on use of equipment and software.

• Provide superior communication regarding resolution of issues with users and others.

• Manage and monitor IT security functions, such as email filtering, virus protection, etc.

• Manage, monitor, backup, and recover data for such as exchange, SQL, IIS, etc.

• Manage inventory related to IT equipment, such as PC, printers, software, LAN/WAN.

• Proactively analyze and address potential problems and improvements to prevent future failures.

• Properly log, record and document all issues

• Identify issues and provide alternative solutions to various projects, requests, procedure and policy issues that involves knowledge of information technology.

• Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Four year degree in computer related field; or two to four years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups and/or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  
   
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. 

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
