Lead Fork Lift Operator - Braselton, GA

This position reports to the Operations Manager/Assistant Manager and is responsible for directing the activities of 15-25 hourly employees. Position also requires direct involvement with daily operations and future projects to ensure activities support facility goals and objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in supporting that the facility KPI’s consistently meet/exceed established       goals, including but not limited to safety, quality, productivity, sanitation and maintenance.
  • Participate in the continual development and improvement of production/warehouse standard operating procedures for the facility.
  • Ensure employees obtain training as related to facility policies and procedures.
  • Ensure work areas are clean and organized.  Maintain a tour ready facility
  • Responsible for the selection and training of personnel required to meet the demands of the facility.
  • Actively supports and participates in the Suggestion Program.
  • Ensure daily communications and shift meetings provide the necessary information for employees to do their jobs consistently at a high level while empowering the warehouse associates to remain engaged in ALL warehouse activities.
  • Has a positive influence on follow employees.
  • Promotes the Hitachi Koki USA, Ltd. culture and actively participates in company functions.
  • Promotes positive customer relationships.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

 EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent;
  • Minimum two years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Basic math proficiency skill-set   
  • Ability to build and maintain positive customer relationships.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • HKU conforms with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). 
  • Work environment is consistent with normal warehouse conditions
  • Must have the ability to lift at least 40 pounds on a consistent basis
