Responsible for developing and executing a wide variety of marketing communications' projects that support the strategic and operating goals of Hitachi’s power tools business.  This position will handle projects that includes but not limited to:  public relations, business press relations, branding, brochures,  product data sheets, collateral, executive presentations, advertising, promotions, web content, technical seminars, and customer events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities include the following:

  • Implement Company’s marketing communications plan in support of Company’s strategy, positioning and desired results.
  • Assist Product Managers, Marketing Manager and Design Department in tracking projects to ensure on time delivery.
  • Develop and manage new product “go-to-market” calendars and marketing communications budgets.
  • Manage Hitachi Power Tools’ Social Media and Public Online Presence; prepare promotional material to be posted on social media accounts.
  • Contribute to growing Hitachi Power Tools’ product visibility by maintaining website content and implementing SEO methods.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Marketing Manager, Field Marketing AE’s and Design Department to support company collateral, presentations, reports, and articles to strengthening brand image.
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements
  • Advanced written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to forge strong relationships and lead cross functional teams
  • Experience with a customer support / customer service organization
  • Ability to brainstorm independently as well as consult others for guidance and feedback
  • Strong creative writing skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write and pitch compelling stories for a wide range of media outlets
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university; Degree in Marketing or Business Administration preferred

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports and legal documents.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.  Ability to write speeches, collateral copy and articles for publication that conform to prescribed style and format.  Ability to effectively communicate and present information to top management, public groups and / or boards of directors.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.  Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to define problems, organize data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.  Strong quantitative and qualitative business case analysis skills

COMPUTER SKILLS:
Strong Microsoft Office Skills; Word, Excel, and Power Point.  Familiarity with Outlook and the internet.
