Product Standards & Compliance Associate - Braselton, GA

Responsible for representing the company at industry organizational meetings. Must have knowledge of product compliance related to all industry and government safety standards and regulations. The Product Standards & Compliance Associate will be communicating with company executives, factory engineers and others related to product safety and customer satisfaction. Must be ready to take on other projects and assignments as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: 

  • Understanding of technical and engineering concepts related to electrical, pneumatic, and two-stroke gas powered equipment.
  • Ensure proper communication of information related to product safety and compliance.
  • Company representative at industry organization meetings.
  • Present complex technical information related to products compliance and safety to corporate executives, engineers, legal, sales and marketing departments.
  • Assist in a variety of other projects or take on other duties as assigned.

  •  Candidate must be ready to demonstrate understanding of engineering and technical concepts, specifically related to electrical, pneumatic or gas powered equipment.
  • Demonstrate communication and presentation skills with a proven track record working with C-level executives, business partners, government officials, and industry groups.
  • Demonstrate ability to produce customer focused business solutions to engineering or  technical issues.
  • Demonstrated understanding the potential impact of regulatory standards to business operations.
  • Demonstrate self-accountability, as a proactive and detail-oriented self-starter, able to manage time effectively and meet deadlines within a highly dynamic work environment.
  • Demonstrate result driven planning and organizing skills, which highlights the ability to prioritize work and multiple projects to meet goals on schedule.
  • On occasion, may participate in legal proceedings, such as depositions.
  • Willingness to travel and occasionally participate in meetings on an international time schedule.      

 EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Candidate must possess a Bachelors degree  in engineering or related technical field with a minimum of  3.0 GPA from an accredited university preferred.

  • Must possess work experience related to requirements. 
  • Professional engineering license is preferred not required. If the candidate does not have a professional engineering license then the candidate should be PE qualified.

 LANGUAGE SKILLS: 
Ability to analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals,   technical procedures, or governmental regulations and condense information in usable form. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions in legal proceedings.

 MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: 
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply engineering concepts to find practical situations.

 REASONING ABILITY: 
Ability to succinctly address problems involving several variables. Ability to appreciate impact of government and product regulations on manufacturing and business applications.

 COMPUTER SKILLS:
Highly skilled in word processing, spreadsheets, and engineering related software.
